About Us

 

83 Years of Service

Teleflora was founded in 1926. It was the first florist relay service in New Zealand by many years and one of the first in the world.

Our members are proud of their heritage. Over the years two books have been written and published detailing the early years of Teleflora in New Zealand.  They provide great pen-portraits of some of the many characters in our several generations of florists.


Because we were the first service in New Zealand, much of our historical material has been donated to the national archives as a history of floristry in New Zealand.

Our Local Florist Network

At Teleflora we have a New Zealand network of around 120 approved member florists. Internationally, we're connected to over 50,000 affiliated florists based in 84 countries.

Teleflora is administered by a central service that accepts phone and web orders and distributes them via our network of local florists so the recipient gets the freshest flowers beautifully designed.

Because we're such a visible brand, we're motivated to ensure that our reputation for high standards is maintained. Any customer should feel that there are systems in place to ensure that their gift gets the attention it deserves... that their gift will be delivered on time and to a standard they'd be pleased with.

Teleflora also maintains standards within the organization through workshops, an annual conference, educational weekends and visiting international exhibitors. In short, we're serious about refining our service to be the best it can be.
